Departments: Mouseman & Yorkshire Oak

The ever-popular work from the workshop of Robert ‘Mouseman’ Thompson of Kilburn, North Yorkshire, continues to command high prices at auction. It’s forever a joy for us to sell these pieces on behalf of our customers. They’re an important part of the history of our local area (Kilburn is just a short drive from our saleroom) and we see high demand from local, national and international bidders

Our quarterly Country House Sales always include a specialist section of Mouseman pieces along with work by the other Yorkshire Oak carvers. These sales are supported by a fully illustrated printed catalogue

We accept entries of work by:

  • The Mouseman workshop
  • Squirrelman
  • Rabbitman
  • Gnomeman
  • Lizardman
  • Wrenman
  • and others

Prior to the auction, items are carefully researched and catalogued by our team of professional valuers, who are highly experienced in dealing with Mouseman and Yorkshire Oak. The lots are then carefully photographed and published on two online bidding platforms as well as our website, and a notification email is sent to our contact list of thousands of previous customers. As well as hosting in-person buyers on our public viewing days, we receive and respond to hundreds of condition reports every month from remote buyers across the globe, giving your pieces the best possible chance of a successful sale.
