Antiques and Collectables Sale Roundup

This weekend saw us enjoy another hugely successful Antiques and Collectibles Sale, packed with amazing pieces and very happy customers! With such an array of items up for grabs, it is no surprise that bidding was frantic and fast paced, and we brought the hammer down on some incredible prices for these must-have treasures.

To help you relive some of the exciting action, here are the top five lots that we were thrilled to part with over the weekend.

1. Cased Collection of Conical Brass measures - Hammer Price £1550

One of the top lots of the weekend was this stunning set of graduated conical brass measures, presented in a stunning mahogany chest complete with a brass plaque bearing the origin:  'Standard Measures Lancashire County Council Church Division by W. & T. Avery Ltd London’.

Dated to 1903, and engraved with the royal seal of approval through the GR branding and crown touch marks, this is an amazing chance to glimpse a piece of important working history, and a real jewel in the crown of our sale.

2. Boxed CMC Ferrari F1 Transporter Fiat RN2 Baroletti Model - Hammer Price £920

An incredible example of craftsmanship from CMC, this stunning model sold in near mint condition - including the original paperwork, packaging and instructions. With fully working suspension, doors, ramps and other details, this was an amazing purchase for the lucky collector.

3. Royal Navy Rum Issue Copper Measures - Hammer Price £1000

A set of measures make another appearance on our list, this time created from vibrant copper. These pieces also had a very important job to do - rationing the rum allowance for Royal Navy sailors! It comes as no suprise that these were a popular pick, and our lucky buyer was more than happy.

4. WWII British Army Wireless Set - Hammer Price £920

Another masterpiece in this weeks collection was this amazing British Army WWI Wireless Set 68 T, which was originally designed for Parachute and Airbourne units. Just a moment with this piece gives you a real sense of the rich history and amazing achievements of the wireless and all those who worked her, and this is an amazing connection to a strong military past.

5. British Military World Tour Photo Album - Hammer Price £800

Another nod to a military past, this amazing treasure trove of photographs is the perfect opportunity to enjoy snapshots of history, with photos from China, Malay, India and more, and offering a glimpse into situations and events that had a profound impact on British history.
