Our next Collectables and Militaria Sale looks set to be another huge success, and is a 3-day sale featuring an impressive 1,300 lots. A key section of the sale is an amazing single-vendor collection of 150 16th century and later swords, including British, European, Scottish, Chinese and Indian examples.

Of particular interest is a fantastic British 1796 pattern light cavalry officer's sword / sabre, a sword that was used primarily by British light dragoons and hussars, which features a 31.5"curved bule and gilt etched blade, regulation steel stirrup hilt, contained in its steel scabbard with white leather dress knot, which has an estimate of £800-£120 + buyer's premium. The detail of the handle, and the overall quality of the sword, make this an amazing piece and a great addition to any existing collection.

Another must-see piece is a historic mid 18th century Scottish basket hilted backsword, estimated at £1500-£200 + buyer's premium.

This is an event not to be missed for fans of antique weapons and militaria - so make sure you head down to view on Wednesday 17th July from 10am to 4pm, ahead of the sale itself, due to take place from Thursday 18th July to Saturday 20th July.
